Macro lens for a Sony Alpha 350

I have a Sony Alpha 350 and I'm looking for a macro lens which is reasonable quality, but that doesnt cost too much cos I dont have a huge budget.

Can anyone suggest one?

you won't go far wrong with the sigma 105 macro...good for bugs,flowers..in fact,every type of macro work.you can get 50mm macro lens,but the working distance is a lot closer,so you may spook bugs away

Well, the cheaper the better, maximum about £250... everything imported seems to be getting more expensive due to the weak pound, should i wait until it gets a bit stronger?

Well the Sigma 105mm comes in a little over that as does the Tamron 90mm. These are probably the best macro lenses in their price range. There is the Sigma 50mm f2.8 Macro for under £200 but I don't know how good it is and you'd have a much shorter working distance which may be an issue with insects.

I've got a spare Sigma 90mm f2.8 that may be of use to 1 of you but I haven't been here long enough to sell on here.
