Macro Focusing Slide Rail

I've got something similar, not bad to be honest but it's been lubricated with something resembling molasses!
 
Mine has few more bells and whistles, but in essence, it's the same :)

To be honest mate, I had one and it was pants. You get any weight on it and it's not very smooth when trying to get the fine focus.

That is typical of Chinese made mechanical 'kit', and their telescope mounts are just the same. They work very well, once the 'treacle grease' has been removed, and replaced with better quality grease.

Rob, that is a serious looking macro setup. Very nice.

Silure, I take your point about being 'pants', as I guess at that price its a case of 'you get what you pay for'.
