Morning All,

Has anyone updated their Macbook to the above OS, if so, what is it like ?

My Macbook is currently running Sequoia 15.7.1.

I have not upgraded. Someone I know did and and now their MacBook and Mac mini has lots of issues with external thunderbolt drives. That was a definite no for me.

This may explain why I keep getting messages that one of the external SSD drives on my Mac mini was not ejected correctly when it is still shown as connected.
 
I upgraded and now cannot use my Wacom tablet (not a new tablet but worked great before) contacted Apple and told nothing they could do and to contact Wacom and they have no intention of providing any more driver updates for the tablet driver because of it's age even though it worked fine before. Wish I had not updated now as had to buy a new tablet (Not Wacom). Russ.
 
Yes, I've updated. Only one issue so far. You may wonder why you can no longer mount any external drives. Finder just doesn't see them. Turns out that anyone running ESET virus protection will find that ESET has enabled device protection which will stop any external drives being mounted. You have to go into ESET and uncheck that option - ESET Cyber Security (from the main menu bar)>Settings>Device Control>Rules.

Then it all works fine again. I see now that it actually blocks any devices so that may be why Russell's Wacom has stopped working, or may be not if the new one is working.

I suffered from that as well....
 
I disabled the power saving from external drives in the settings and so far it seems to have worked.
