I recently 'upgraded' my late 2012 iMac 27 to MacOS Sierra from El Capitan.
Today when using the 'Save As' function, then choosing 'File Type' option causes PSE 11 to halt with this message.

Choosing continue allows the file to be saved, but it is a bit of a pain..

Quick look on the web suggests that this is pretty common, affecting later versions of PSE too, plus PS CC.

Anybody else here?

Rolled mine back to El Capitan for the time being.
I also read that there are compatibility issues with LR5 and Sierra as well, though I had no problems with LR5.

No such problems with CC - Is your PSE version an App Store version? There are recent updates for it on the App Store.

There is always that risk with rather old version of software. That is why years ago I preferred getting App Store versions (also allows install across many different computers) and CC versions to remain current.

Thanks.

I'm using PSE 11 and Lightroom 5. Both were on DVD (not a fan of download only, I like to have the hard media because I'm old) purchased from Amazon in 2013. May buy newer versions at some point, but both are fine for what I do right now. As for updates. I've read that Adobe are not updating their legacy products (including CS6) to be compatible with Sierra.

Little update:

Tried my daughter's iMac 27 today, recently upgraded to Sierra and running PSE 14. All seems fine with this setup. Certainly no issue with 'File Save' functions as far as I could tell.

Maybe it's time I picked up a more recent PSE/LR or go for the CC versions...
