Mack warranty on Grey Import

Hi All,

Hope someone can help with this one. I will be buying a DSLR from www.procamershop.co.uk and they offer their own 1 year warranty, I would however, if possible would like to purchase an extended warranty from Mack. Does anyone have any experience with Mack. Also i think i read somewhere that to register with Mack you need a warranty card which i think is omitted from grey import purchases. can anyone confirm this?

Hi! My name is Desiree and I am the Customer Relations Supervisor for Mack Camera.Thank you for your interest in Mack Camera extended warranties. You may purchase a warranty on the unit, since the dealer is offering a 1 year warranty. Within that 1 year, you would have to go to the dealer for any issues. You may only purchase a standard warranty and not our diamond warranty. The dealer you purchase the warranty card from will provide you with a warranty card. You register the warranty card on our website www.mackcam.com. If you have additional questions please feel free to email me directly at helpdesk@mackcam.com.

I have found a mack warranty to be excellent, but registered and used largely in US.

My claim was dealt with in a prompt and corteous manner....replacement of the back of my 1 Ds3 joystick.....and I'm not being paid to say this!!:p
