Mach Loop - worth a trip 16th April?

I know there's no definitive answer but I'd planned a trip to Cad West for tomorrow.

My wife's just reminded me that the Icelanders may have put the kybosh on that with their volcanic ash cloud having grounded civvy flights.

Can anyone (Cheesy?) tell me whether military jets might still be active please. It would be a terrible shame to go all that way if there's definitely no activity likely.

two harriers went around the loop this morning but rtb'ed early morning and then all the bases closed and nothing was flying

Most bases NOTAM'd til tomorrow (friday) dinner.. Very much doubt anything will be out til next week.
I was up Cad East Today... til 10.30... Ouch :bang::bonk:

To be honest, it could go either way. If some airfields are opened early tomorrow then its possible that the RAF will take a reality check a launch some sorties.

I'll post more when I hear it.

Decided, in the end, to stay away. Shame really. I had another reason for going but c'est la vie.

Will try again next week as a substitute.
