Hi all,

Last week some time my MBA stopped charging randomly, after about an hour it started working again so I didn't think anything of it and its been fine since. Until last night...

Same thing happened again, I was getting on with some work and didn't notice it until I decided to call it a night, I had about 10% left but thought I'd shut it down and have a look tomorrow. Can't get it to charge today at all and the 10% battery has gone somehow because it won't switch on so I can't even back up my stuff.

I've tried warming up the charger as has been suggested somewhere else but it didn't work. Also tried plugging the middle-of-the-charger-bit directly into the socket but that didn't work either meaning its either a problem with the 1 part of the charger or the battery. I have AppleCare so can take it in, not for a few days though and I need to get on there to email some documents and backup some stuff, even if I can only get on it for 5 minutes.

Any ideas much appreciated

Dunno about MB, but on a windows laptop i'd be suspecting/replacing the power jack was broken/fractured from the motherboard.

Nope, no lights or nothing. Just spoken to Apple and they said they think its the charger because of that (I forgot that it would light up if it was a battery issue). They can send out a charger but won't be here until Monday but I'm not gonna be able to get to an Apple store until the weekend though. It's times like this I wish I had a spare charger so I've ordered one anyway.
As I say, I just need 10 minutes battery life otherwise I'm gonna have a very unhappy supervisor!

?Amazon or similar and pay extra for guaranteed next day delivery?
