What software do you have??

Could you explain a bit more fully and i may be able to help ta

I have adobe light room, Adobe photo elements 4, Iphoto, photomatix

like at the bottom corner of the picture it says taken by mr bing 2008

I don't have elements, i have photoshopcs3, but there must be a text tool in elements, just highlight the text tool in the palette and click on the picture and type all you want to.

oh ok thanx i thought you needed a program to latch it on the the picture thats all

Thanx tim ill look into that bud

Photoshop is exactly the same on a Mac and on Windows, just use the text tool in that. It's easy.

Mr Bing

You can get lightroom to do this for you that is if you use lightroom for your printing.

When you go into the print module of lightroom you will see a section called Overlays if you enable the Identity Plate you can set up a custom one with the info you want.

You can alter the scale opacity and colour in this module.

You can also rotate the identity plate and move it anywhere on the page you like.

Hope this helps...

Nigel.

Hi Nigel, I've got Lightroom but I'm not too sure if you can "save" in the print module in order to post pictures on a forum, think Mr Bing might want this facility?

Tim

Tim...

Good call ... Grey matter is flagging today been wandering round since 4am this morning only got back couple of hours ago...

Your version makes sense..... I only tag mine when printing..

Cheers

Nigel.

You can do it in Lightroom, when you export a file, in the export options there is a box to tick for copyright watermark (can't tell you the exact wording here, cos I'm on my works laptop) but you tick that and the text from the copyright field in the IPTC data is placed on the bottom left, as shown below:

It is a bit of a 2 step thing, but I add the IPTC copyright info automatically when I'm importing images and all the presets I have for exporting for web have got the watermark button ticked so don't need to think about it now (hence the confusing description)
