Mac fastone alternative?

I used this software for batch editing and converting etc in windows and found it pretty quick, any one now of a free easy to use equivalent?

XnView was fairly capable last time I tried it, theres a couple mentioned here with some discussion too: http://lifehacker.com/5874394/the-best-image-editing-app-for-mac-os-x
Applescript is also pretty good (and free) solution for batch stuff don't forget!
