got the chance to buy a 2 month old mac book pro retina from a cousin who cant get to grips with it he prefers windows.
how easy or hard is it to reset back to factory settings ?? so i have a clean sheet to play with ?????

You can just do a fresh install of the OS. Really simple and quick.
 
going to buy it this weekend so will keep you posted
 
I don't know how much you want it but he could just install windows on it and wipe OSX. It's a good machine and if OSX is the only sticking point then a quick install would sort that... :)

Have they solved the battery crippling nvidia issue?
 
I didn't know there was one. The battery life normally takes a hit but usually only an hour ish.

it always used to be that windows on a macbook pretty much halved the battery life, was down to the switching of intel to nvidia GPU. i dont know if its been resolved, my Dell has intel and nvidia..

Think the latest update (10.8.2) addressed that issue
