Does anybody have a duplicate file finder software programme for a Mac they'd be happy to recommend? I'm just in the process of consolidating all my numerous drives onto to one 4TB drive and due to my inability to stick with one cataloging protocol over the years I appear to have loys of different versions of the same thing and it's driving me a bit nuts.

Nobody found a good way of dealing with duplicates?

Sorry, cant say I've got many duplicates other than backups.

Thanks for the link. I used one in my windows days which came in really handy. I've just downloaded dupeguru and it works a treat for me. (y)

There's also Gemini. It seems efficient and is simple to use although I haven't used it on an industrial scale like the one you are about to embark upon.

There's a video here that shows exactly how it works. http://macpaw.com/gemini If you're brave you can let the programme to select the ones to keep and what to trash, I usually go through them one at a time but I can see a point where you might just give in and let Gemini do it. They update the programme fairly regularly.
