Lytro Light Field Camera

Yeah i saw this but wonder how much that thing is going to cost when it comes out?

Pretty cool idea though.
 
The cynic in me wonders why he's having to produce it himself, you'd have thought the likes of Nikon or Canon would have snapped (if you pardon the pun) it up.....

Yes, there's an interview just posted on www.dpreview.com with the guy. I've not heard such a lot of, frankly, bo11ox, in a long time. Anyone remember the farce, bordering on con, that was the Nimslo 3D camera? I think they're trying to drum up interest to attract investment.

It seems like, as they say, a solution looking for a problem :suspect:
