Lynton's 52 for 2010 - Week 29 "Grace"

Nice colours Lynton and is obviously bang on theme.

Would have ideally liked to have seen a touch more beach but good regardless.

That gets my  Lynton. I like the colours and composition, the lens flare adds to the image too. Iain

Lovely colours and wonderful composition there Lynton. Cracking diffraction spikes on the sun as well, they frame the reflection on the water beautifully. How many aperture blades does that lens have ?

In case you can't tell... I like it :D... it also fits the theme really well.

Good use of the rule of thirds, excellent colours. The lens flare works well.

The only slight crit I would have is that I would have liked a bit more light on the beach. It seems too dark as a band across the bottom of the picture. Doesn't really detract too much though.

Oooh shiny metal - like it. Not so keen on the sunrise shot but I admire your ability at this time of the year to see it.

Ok missing a couple of weeks "Art" and "Relaxation"........

serious lack of motivation, but I will catch up............

In the meantime, meet "Mia Grace"

Pleased to meet you Mia Grace:D
A lovely colourful portrait Lynton, fantastic smile your model has too.
Hope you find your mojo soon. Iain

Hmmmm . . . well that's one way of getting around the theme ;)

 Mia Grace!

Good strong colours, lovely pose and what a cute smile!
I think you could maybe have done with a reflector to get some more light onto the lower part of her face, but I like it!

Here's hoping you get your mojo back soon.

Nice strong shot and cool colours.

Shame the sunshine is so bright which has created the shadows on her face, without moving her and making it a more 'posed' photo I dont suppose that could be avoided.

As ever,

Thanks for all your comments - much appreciated........

"Hmmmm . . . well that's one way of getting around the theme" - yep, don't get old without getting crafty!

Lessons learnt - bright sunshine can make for a meh photo.........

Aww- what a cutie! So what if the sunlight is a bit bright? It is a lovely pose and expression, and on my monitor the shadows are not so harsh as to be off-putting. This is a moment to treasure.

That's a nice sharp vibrant shot! Lighting is a fraction harsh, but pleasing pic nevertheless!

Nice one Lynton... and well side stepped on the theme . A lovely portrait, good bold colours and a great smile. A little fill light in the lower part of her face (reflector I guess) would have worked wonders, but it's still really good, and the shadows are not so harsh as to be distracting.

Lynton,

When do we get the picture of the inside of the helicopter?

<LINK>

The light is a little harsh and a reflector may have helped but it's not distracting from what is a lovely portrait. Depth of field is good - subject is really sharp. Well done.

Andy

great picture
and not toooooooooooo far off topic

you must try again with a gold reflector to lighten the facial shadows

terrific colours though!

I hope they've brought your camera to your hospital bed, I'm sure we can forgive you crowbarring nurses into any topic ;)

All the best for a speedy recovery.
