Has anyone ever seen this? I've seen the trailers for it on TV, and remember them from the first series. It appears beyond awful but...they have made a second series. Is this in fact very funny if you watch it fully - the trailers are just bizarre \ maybe I'm getting old.... I honestly can't remember seeing a trailer for anything that I've thought looked this bad. It looks so bad though maybe I am missing something. Maybe not.

I think the word I'm looking for is "surreal" . . . or is it "random". I guess TV comedy will always change direction over the years, I got lost after "Bottom" ended.

Free form, stream of consciousness, utter nonsense. I love it.

I heard part of an interview with Fielding on the radio, so I must have been in the car.

He said it's not surreal, it's just silly. Don't analyse it, just enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, fair enough it's not for you.

Indeed, Shooting Stars had a similar premise, total silliness and yet I loved that series.

Shooting stars - unmissable.

I remember in an early series, one of the guests suggested that anyone could do this silly nonsense.

Vick and Bob immediately took them up on this and told them, "the show's yours. Go on then."

Obviously the guest, wish I could remember who it was, fell spectacularly on their ass.

I did like shooting stars - it was great. I would not say I was analysing LC, I just did not get it. I will give it a go - let's see.

Thanks for the responses both.

I had the misfortune of watching one episode 1 from series 1. There wasn't anything to even raise a smile let alone laugh.

Tried it since we enjoyed the Mighty Boosh (?sp?). About as funny as piles.

Totally mad, bizzarre and off the wall, love it:) Last night's episode was great

Noel Fielding is a comedy genius. Anyone who has watched The Mighty Boosh and not laughed just has no sense of humour so far as I'm concerned. Luxury isn't as funny as Boosh, but it's still classic Fielding stuff. Love it.

Watched it and thought it was self-indulgent rubbish. Some really poor UK comedy being commissioned for TV these days.

Talentless guff:rolleyes:
