Anyone out shooting the eclipse tonight??

Think the show begins 1.30am onwards

i knew nothing about it but will likely wait up now, thanks for sharing the info.

:thinking:didn't know either...probably too much cloud here..lol

I'm in two minds about having a little kip now, else i won't be able to stay awake. 34 and i feel like 64 :)

Clear skies for a fortnight eclipse tomorrow morning and the cloud arrives today :(

the "climax" of the eclipse is around 3am .. I'm the same as deadpan.. feeling too old but might give it a try :D

The last time i didnt have a d-slr used a 20-200 and was not over the moon with the results(see what i just did). Now have a d-slr and longest lens would be a 70-210 oh and i feel much older now, than at the last one!

Will be funny to see how many say yes they are going to and then not post pics :)

clouds...

Weeks of clear skies, now for the first time in what seems like ages, we have a cloudy night here!!! Typical!

Stormy, getting stormier :(

Much too late for this old girl - I have to be at work for 8am, and I have stuff to do tomorrow which requires me to be at least vaguely alert and with it!

Come over all cloudy here. I'm off to bed. Was contemplating it but I am knackered. Just had a very stressful hour of watching a dress on ebay for our dinner and dance. Now I've won it, I'm off up the wooden hill

Night and good luck to those who stay up for it

Got a very thin layer of cloud here, I've taken a couple of test shots and have had to fashion a counter weight for my very cheap tripod:D , so i think i can get away with it, find out soon i guess

too cloudy GRRRRR!!!! its been clear all WEEK!!! why tonight!!!!???

!!! at least i wont have loads of french students walking in front of my shots ;)

i dont like my chances to be honest :(

no i won't either all i have to contend with is an abundance of cats and one to many security lights:shake:

Nope, too much cloud here in Fife at the mo, but the cat's doing a bit of howling, perhaps he knows something....

eek. im in the middle of a field (at work - nightshift) and theres no lights really, which is great, but no moon :(

well, I went to bed (totally knackered) at 10:30 thinking woudl be nice to be awake for the eclipse, but there will be others.

wake up (no alarm or anything) at 2:20 (yay my internal photography alarm) get dressed, go outside and ...

its so cloudy, cant see a single trace of the moon.

Ah well back to bed, hope somebody managed to get a few shots

:bang: can see it just but too much cloud moving across to get a shot

:annoyed:nope to cloudy here few gaps but cannot see it typical clear sky all week :annoyed: oh well have to wait untill 2010 :'(:'(

I tempted fate it seems, it's now totally obscured by cloud :(

Well, I waited up until 2:30 am but it was too cloudy - yet only 4 hours earlier the skies had been clear. Oh well, another time.
Glad someone got to see it and take some piccies for us though. Thankyou:D
