Spot of photgraphoc myopia there I think. Saw another vid where a togger gets mown down in a pit lane When he was pointing the camera at the car that hit him!
 
Saw this in the Metro today. Caught on camera at a drag race. Photog is 62 and should have known better, methinks. Too busy looking through viewfinder, perhaps? Quote "I made a split-second decision that it was unlikely to mount the wall .. took a calculated step back .. it would perhaps have been more prudent to take two steps back".

Perhaps he should have used live view and kept one eye on what was happening :lol: either that or he thought he'd zoomed in too far :lol:
 
Anyone noticed that the togs pictures didn't get used from his near death snapping yet people taking pictures of him did. Wasn't worth the risk not even to get published.
 
Balls of steel indeed to keep shooting and have faith in the retaining wall. There is now way I would have stayed there, I'd have at least ducked under the wall. Top man

look at the video , it was barely moving when it hit the retaining wall , another non event story from the daily wail , its not like it happened at the end of the quarter mile when it would have been doing close to 300 mph :eek: :eek: :eek:

saying 'he should have known better' it's not as if he put anyone else in danger is it?

If he wanted that awesome shot, then fair play to him for having the balls to do it :lol:
