I have lr5 but thinking of upgrading to 6 (not cc) does this include the dehaze function

No. There's another thread somewhere about this but it seems dehaze is a CC only feature.

De-haze feature is only in the cc version.

However, some skilled folk quickly found that the de-haze engine was hidden in LR6 perpetual license version. A couple made or produced instructions for "pre sets" and another guy created a "Plugin" I have installed the plugin and it seems to work fine but compared to the cc version it is limited. Full functionalty should come in LR7, whenever that arrives.

Dehaze is only a CC feature but there are some ways of working round it such as this

Though as you can see the first link Mark shows does give a nice insight to the de-haze use & results.
