Hi, today my LR6 seemed to randomly refuse to download anything from a card... Tried a number of things.... Think it might have been the destination. Strange thing is it seems to be working again. Not sure what I did so bothered I might inadvertently do it again. Any ideas, please? Thanks for taking the time.

Could be a sign of an issue, either with your card or with your hard drive (assuming that's your destination). Best to run checks on both. If there's a possibility of an issue, with the card, dump it! No point in risking loosing images.

maybe when you have imported your images,put the card back in the camera and low format it.also also make sure the card is squarely sitting in the card reader and never delete images on the card with the computer always do it when the card is in your camera.

Open Explorer, can you see the drive containing the cards pics>?
if no - then its nothing to do with lightroom.
if yes & cannot import using LR then go back to explorer, copy the files to a local drive & import from there...

I had a similar thing LR 6. could not see photos on an external hard drive ! Managed to get found this by exporting to Dropbox ...which LR could then see and import...anyone else had this?
