LR5 "the folder could not be found"

Had this problem a few times now and it's getting a bit frustrating
I'll go back to a picture that i've previously imported, and i'll get this message;

"the folder cannot be found"

even though the picture is right there on the screen i can't edit it as all the edit options aren't highlighted.
Am i missing something simple, or does this happen from time to time?

The image you can see is a preview, not the 'real' file. Are your photos on an ehd?

Right click the image, select "view in explorer" (or "view in finder" on a mac). Locate the file and press ok. All missing images for that folder should resync.

If you move the original file to a new location or delete it,this will happen!

Simon, correct unless you move or delete directly from within Lr itself.
