LR4 - Deleting previous adjustment brush

I can't find a way to remove edits made with a mask / adjustment brush, can anyone help please>
 
Click on the relevant adjustment tool (ie brush, grad etc). Click on the button for the 'layer' that you want to bin so that it goes from white to black (ie live). Click delete.

Done.

I'd appreciate you trying this on your LR4 because I tried that and it brings up a dialogue asking if I want to delete master photo etc ?

Ignore that it worked this time I must have screwed up the other times...many thanks
