LR3: Organise photos in order of name / date modified

Hi all,

I have a batch of many multiple photographs in Lightroom 3. In Windows I have them all in the order they were taken in. The photos were taken from different cameras on different memory cards. So, I have managed to get all my photos in order on my Windows PC.

Then I rename all my files and have them in order. When I then import them into LR3 the order is set different.

Is there any way I can change the order in Lightroom to match the date created?

In Library > View >Sort > Capture time/Added time/Edit time/Edit count/Rating etc

Thanks, will give that a go tonight. It's funny sometimes, you can do the complicated bits but not the simple bits.
