I have just installed LR CLoud on a second more powerful computer with a graphics card (which my first, a laptop, did not have). Annoyingly the Cache size in preferences (the amount of storage LR uses on the C drive before deleting old files off the C drive and then redownloading them as needed) is set to 50GB on the second newwer PC but 370GB on the first despite both having 2 TB drives in them which are not filled. I have spoken to AI who inform me this is no bug but intended as LR decide that your second PC is not your main machine and so limit the cache size. I have uninstalled LR off the original laptop but it makes no difference to the cache size on the second which seems permanently to be treated as the 'second' machine
The only consequence of this is that LR Cloud will have to redownload images a lot more often as it fills up and delets space
It is annoying though. I have tried fixes (deleting catalogue and letting LR reuild it) but makes no difference
I am contemplating moving to LR Classic. Would I notice a big difference in editing if I did that?
