LR catalogue on SSD?

I'm sure I've read that it's best to have one's LR catalogue on the SSD for faster access. Is it worth moving it?

It can help with speed yeah. If you don’t have any problems, probably not worth moving it, but it wouldn’t hurt.

Depends on how many SSD's you have.
I have two so progs on one LR cat on the other.
On my laptop I only have one so Progs and cat on there.

I keep mine on the ssd drive having read similar advice. Is it better, I don’t know, but it doesn’t take much space. Give it try at least.

I keep all my LR catalogues on an SSD I also use the same drive as a scractch disc but don’t use it for anything else.

I have another NVME SSD that I use for my O.S and programmes.

I also have another 4tb SSD that I use to keep my working files on when they are done I move them across to another normal hard disk.

My LR catalog is on the SSD along with LR and other applications.
However, I've set the catalog backup location to the hard drive that I store my photos and data on. This drive is backed up, daily, to an external drive.
