LR Catalog weirdness

I've never altered the location of LR's catalog, but yesterday when I loaded the app it came up with a message saying it couldn't find the catalog on F:\blah blah blah. But my catalog should be in the default location on C:\whatever. I've never told it to move. Any ideas what went wrong?

Loaded the default catalog and it's got everything except my last import. I don't gte why it randomly decided to change catalogs? :shrug:

EDIT: It was trying to use the backup catalog as the default one! What the hell is going on here?

My guess would be that your F drive was temporarily unavailable. I get this if it is not plugged in or takes a few seconds longer to start than LR does to get going

I'm thoroughly sick of lr4 it keeps losing my catalog/develop and export presets and its slow. Never had these problems with lr3. Too buggy.
