Hi

Anyone use the magic track pad with Lightroom? Is it better to use than the magic mouse?

Thanks

I tried a magic pad, I didn't really get on with it as it's small and it was a pain to get fine control of sliders/brushes when you need to press downwards then slide left/right. I've ended up with Wacom graphics tablet and the Magic Mouse. The graphics tablet works nicely for the editing work, especially brushes. The Magic Mouse works well for general for controls other than editing but I do find I do everything with the graphics tablet most of the time.

I use the track pad with LR (in fact everything on the iMac) and it took a little getting used to but now it feels more natural to use it than my mouse. My only grip is that sometimes I will be moving something (or drawing/brushing) and I run out of space on the track pad! with the mouse it's not an issue as you just use more desk! I've learned to manage this but initially it frustrated me.

I have both the magic mouse and the trackpad and th etelling thing is that the mouse has been in the desk drawer for 6 months unused!

Ideally, if I could justify, I would have the magic mouse and a Wacom medium tablet but I can't so the trackpad is staying!

I have both for my iMac, probably use them equally. I quite like the track pad.

Thanks, just got the mouse and am still trying to get used to that. Will keep an eye out for a used track pad at a cheap price to try out.

Thanks, but it is over my budget.

Have asked if any movement on price, if the price is right might just have to get it.

Thanks again for letting me know.

I've just posted an advert for both in the classifieds - boy both and eBay the one you don't like ;)

Thanks, looking at spending about £25, so a bit over my budget.

Then for the want of a fiver you'll never know :)

ETA: if you did want to make an offer then you'll need to do it in the classifieds thread.

:) Thanks, need to get a new second hand phone :( this week as well as mine is playing up so need to decide if the trackpad can wait or not.
