LR 4 re-insert CF card

Hi chaps - is it just me or is LR4 buggy ... I really am struggling and am never sure if I'm being stupid or it aint right, for instance I insert a CF card and pick a couple of shots to import, then import, the card is ejected ... fine.

I then decide I want to look at some more images pull the card out of the reader and re-insert it and I get the thumbnail views (grid) but can't d/click a thumbnail and get a full screen version (loupe) ... now, of course I can't be sure this oddity is down to the card being pulled out and back in but it's the only explanation I can think of !

Any advice welcome.

In earlier versions you had an option in prefs to "Eject card after import" . This seems to be missing in ver 4.

However if you go to prefs an un tick " Show Import dialogue when memory card is inserted " this prevents the card from being ejected at the end of the import session.

You could go to the Lightroom 4 forum on Adobe's web site and ask for this option to be included. They guys at Adobe do seem to listen as I asked for the back -up catalog option to be changed from start up to shut down and this happened in the next version ( OK I wasn't the only one asking for this but mine was the first request on the list ).

It's a tick box on the import screen, top left just under 'Source'
