LR 4.3

This is a strange one and I wonder if anyone can help, I recently upgraded to version 4.3 going from LR3 and a couple of times now when opening LR4 it can't find my catalog. Now I do back this up all the time and it's not a disaster but it's a real pain in the **se waiting for it to load it up again and render the images.
Any ideas anyone?

4.3 is not as good as 4.2 for me. It is sluggish and stalls!

I would try 4.2?
