Is there any way to order from Loxley without using the ROES system? It's hideous.

Depending on what you are ordering. Framing and wall product have all migrated to our own website, albums and books through LDP.
I don't find roes too bad but if it's a pain for you you have the old fashioned option off phoning sales or customer services and sending the files over and we will place the order for you.
Eventually all product lines will be migrating over to our own website

It's partly the annoyance at having the make a separate order for frames, etc, but ROES is very clunky.

The last time I came on here bad-mouthing Loxley ROES I got beaten down. I didn't find a solution but have since moved to producing all my own products in-house.

I do get that but now understand why from a production point of view. Roes is also very expensive so that is more motivation for us to get everything across to our own site

That cannot come a moment too soon, but I'm glad that you're making the switch, Kevin.

Must admit I used it last week and ended up purchasing prints separately and ordered two frames from the site = 2 delivery charges! It is clunky.

For prints I must say DSCL are better in every respect. The ordering system is easier, the cost is significantly cheaper and the quality is just as good, if not better.

That all said, my framed prints were great!

Sorry, but there is no way DSCLs prints are as good as Loxleys.

Similar points raised recently in another thread , I posted a (sort of ) solution to the delivery problem, if ordering 2 seperate orders put 1 order down as collection but in the notes put " please add to order number xxxxxxx" this I was told to do by loxley themselves

That's convoluted, but at least it's a solution.

Disagree Dean. Had same prints this week from both and you can't tell apart. I do add the printer profile whereas loxley are sRGB.

I found DSCL to lack a little something - I used them for a couple of years. The biggest issue with them for me is that all the prints have their name on the back. That's no use to me as a pro.

Fair point about the reference on the back, but I have seen most pro's do that.

I have used loxley on and off over the years but seriously, no difference.

I don't want clients looking on the website and seeing how much prints cost. That conversation gets boring. :)
