Lowepro Slingshot?

Has anyone got the Lowepro Slingshot 102, 202 or 302 AW? Are they any good? Are they easy to use? And most importantly, what can you actually fit in those size bags?

I do a lot of photojournalism type stuff, so I'm looking for a very quick to use/easily accessible and relatively discrete camera bag. I want to be able to hide away my camera equipment, but have it ready at a moment's notice. A rucksack would fit everything I need but not be quick enough to access IMO. I use two small shoulder bags at the moment. They're relatively quick access, but not well ordered inside, quick painful on the shoulders after a while, too bulky (as I have to take two) and don't actually seem to have enough space for me.

Ideally, the bag would fit a gripped SLR and a smaller backup SLR, like a D60 or something.

So are the Slingshots any good? Would you recommend them? Thanks :)
 
I've got the Slingshot 202AW and found it a tight fit for my gear. Couldn't fit in a camera and 70-200 attached. It's convenient though and I do find it easier to get the camera out to use.

Nikon 50 f1.8, stoffen omni bounce, fingerless gloves
Nikon SB600
Rocket blower
3 lens pens, 2 micro clothes, 67mm 4 set close up macro filters kit
Hoya Pro1 Polarisers in cases 67mm and 72mm
67mm Protector, B+W ND110 72mm (ten stopper)
Extra spare batter (2 in grip)
Lee Foundation kit + 0.9 ND Grad filter

The gripped d90 fits wearing 70-300 vr although nothing bigger would, perfect with all my other lenses.

Its a bit of a tardis and great never having to lay it down, just swing it round and grab what you need....saying that if changing lenses this can be tricky without opening the bag properly but it can be done if you are prep'd for the lens switch prior to heading out

Dare say the 300 holds more so more weight but i find if you tighten the side strap it holds it properly and its not too bad, plus i hang tripod over other shoulder so its quite even. I did a 9 mile hike and although i walked like i had messed myself for a few days after my shoulders and back were fine.

You fit all that in the 200? And you say it's difficult to change lenses without opening the bag properly? Do you have to take it off your shoulder to open it properly?

Hi yeah its shocking aint it, like i said its a tardis!

You can swing the bag round to your front, open the zip to gain access to the camera very easily, you can also reach the side pockets easily but when you pack the bag the bag lies on its back and the lenses go down into thier slots, you then close the bag to stop them falling out. The access point for the camera is more on the side so you only open part of the zip upto the secure click locks. I have on occasions swapped lenses but you have the risk of everything falling out unless you have 3 hands or you have practiced lots.

I have the 100 and use it all the time I am out and about. For your gear you will need the 200 or even the 300. Best bet is to go into a shop and try one out before you buy.

Gripped 7d with EF-S15-85 attached.
Canon "nifty fifty"
EF-S 55-250
Nissin Di622
Set of cokin p grads and nd's with holder.
Macro tubes
Spare batteries for camera and flash
Gorillapod SLR
Remote trigger
Torch
Small waterproof.

That fills it, which is worrying as I have my eye on a 70-200 2.8 which won't fit in.

I think I would need a 200, but can't tell if a 300 would be better. I guess I have to try them, but I wanted to get a good compromise between bulk/weight and being to carry everything I need. Not sure which is better.

Are the 200 and 300 the same as the 202 and 302 or not?

Could you fit two cameras in the bag + one or two primes?
