I currently own the Tamrac Adventure 7 backpack but am looking for something to carry a bit more gear..camera gear + waterproof jacket/trousers etc, I've also bought a Netbook so would like to accomodate this too...

The bag will be used for hiking and also as my hand luggage whilst on holiday abroad (so needs to fit in the aircraft cabin), after some reading the Lowepro Compurover AW seems like the best option, would appreciate some feedback on it from users

thanks

Hi, I had this and did not get on with it. If you load the upper compartment, the camera pocket becomes hard to open/close.

The top compartment is pretty small. Laptop compartment is big, but do you really need it for a netbook?

Also its large, and fully loaded, you need to be careful of airline weight limits. It fit ok in the overheads, except on small regional planes.

Thanks for that..I've looked a little harder and the Lowepro Fastpack 250 gets very good reviews. It may not have quite as much "up top" storage space as I'd like but might be a good compromise

I would go to the shop if at all possible and have a look, the pictures are deceptive....
