Recently bought myself one of these:

As per now a days I had to buy it online as no where seemed to have it stocked. Its almost perfect but has little space to store the included rain cover (not sure why its seperate every other lowe pro bag i've had is integrated) or sandwiches etc - especially when I stick the 400 f2.8 in there.

So I was thinking i may buy some of these extra lowe pro "gear up" pouches to attach externally, as the bag has plenty of loops, and snap lock clips etc.

However, as per the above they aren't really stocked anywhere... and there is little to no information on what bags they fit or how you fix them...

Has anyone got any experience of fitting them to their bags?

I’ve got the medium gear up pack to store chargers etc when I travel. I think you need to buy the extra strap set and hang the creator bag from the backpack straps or as a shoulder bag. It hangs out front similar to a binocular case etc.. I don’t use any straps, just use the creator box for storage. I pop it into my backpack when I need chargers etc., then leave it in a hotel room or hide it under my car seat. Saves me lugging spare batteries, chargers and portable memory storage etc..

It seems that apart from the Lowepro site and Amazon the only place that lists a few slip lock pouches is Wex.

Thanks, I wouldnt want to buy before I get some feedback on people that have used them though in case they don't fit!

I did email Lowe pro about them but didnt get a reply

When I needed something like this I bought some carabiners and some rip proof bags.

You could try something like Sac

Not as elegant as the Lowepro add ons, but they will do the job and are probably cheaper.

elecance is not a priority - those would work really well - but i do need to carry my 100-500 so something substantial is need. I do have one of the old style lowe pro round lens cases but its got that velcro lock system that worked really well on my old nature trekker but doesnt seem compatible with the newer bags

Can it be adapted? Perhaps a call to Lowepro if email failed.

Keep seeing a feed for three peaks bags on my social media...its a kind of modular system looks very neat..includes bags / cubes you can hang externally and there's a camera sling bag that fits internally...maybe you could mix and match...

I don't know if you have bought it yet Andrew, but I have the older version and to be honest unless you are Geoff Capes you wouldn't want to add side pouches on that bag if it is full. The bag empty weighs a few kilos, add a camera with a 400/2.8 or 500/4 suddenly it's over 10kg, there is plenty of room for a lens such as a 100-400 or 100-500 but a 150-600/200-500 will be a squeeze. Good thing about the bag it is deep enough for a grip attachment. HTH

Yes - I have bought and if I put my 400 f2.8 in it’s a real squeeze to get the following in

R5,r6. 70-200 f2.8 rf z, 24-70, 16-35 and the 100-500.

I’ve had to leave the 100-500 behind which although not a biggy is a shame.

The bag would be perfect if it were deep enough to take the 70-200 vertically but it’s a couple of cm too shallow hence that lens takes up a lot of space
