Hi guys,

I'm after some advice on a fast focusing low light lens for my xt-2

I have been using the 16-55mm 2.8 and find that it's pretty slow to focus on.low light situations :-( I was working at eve to last night and struggled with the lens.

I'm generally photographing events, so fast focus is vital.

Any advice much appreciated.

My reason for getting the 16-55 was to avoid having multiple primes, but it looks like it's not going to be ideal for low night.

Does anyone have experience of using any of new F2 primes in low light? And is able to comment on their performance in low light?

I'm guessing I will need 23mm and 50mm

I don't think you'll get any better performance from the other lenses, the 35mm f1.4's got the aperture but the focus may as well be hand cranked.

The 35 1.4 is not that slow :D people constantly exaggerate it's AF performance. I'd happily shoot a gig using it. If your body + lens firmwares are up to date it's actually decent enough. Just not as nippy as the F2, but it's sharper ;)
