After exploring links from this thread about the best Wedding photographers I linked to Mark Ridouts website and came across a series of images like this one.

I am intrigued by the processing - is this HDR. If not, any ideas as to how to create the effect.

Thanks

Thanks guys.

Looking at the website Topaz Adjust seems to give the type of result seen on Mark Ridout's site - albeit toned down a bit from the examples shown on the Topaz site.

That Lookit.be site is really pushing the limits with his techniques - quite involved and a bit extreme for me!

Thanks for the pointers.

True, but I think that once you've got the understanding of the techniques you've got so much more creativity available.

And you don't have to buy anything else!!

I've not seen Topaz Adjust before, but I'd suspect it was that, or something similar as wedding 'togs don't tend to individually adjust each image to the extent the other methods require.

Anybody know the basic steps to achieve the effects shown in Topaz Adjust?

I've used Topaz adjust before, and I've got a trial version at the moment of Topaz Detail. Detail isn't quite as harsh as Adjust.

You basically choose one of the pre-sets and then adjust things like detail, noise, colour etc etc until you're happy with the effect.

Looking at the shots on the link, there seems to be a lot of skin smoothing too.. although they are excellent shots and i could only dream of taking anything like it.. there does seem to be an awful lot of PP on them.. I might be wrong.. I usually am LOL
