Hi everyone,
Im considering a Loupedeck/Tourbox type purchase to help with Lightroom processing but unsure of the best way forward. Could some of you offer me some sound advice please?
Thanks

I have an older Loupdeck + (it's about the same size as a standard PC keyboard) which I was using until recently when an update of Lightroom Classic must have changed the interface somewhat and a number of functions stopped working. Personally, I found twiddling knobs much easier than moving sliders sideways whilst watching the effects on the image. Muscle memory soon makes it possible to move around the device without taking your eyes from the screen. According to Loupdeck my device is old hat and they don't intend updating it anymore :(

I've looked at and considered a different Loupdeck model and the new Tourbox and have been close to pulling the trigger on one but the thought that what has happened to the Loupdeck + might well happen to this too has made me cautious. If you buy one I'll be interested to hear your views on it.

UPDATE: Actually, looking on the Loupdeck web site it appears they may have had a change of heart as there's a software update on their website which I will check out tomorrow.

I've got a Loupedeck+, bought it from the classifieds on here a few years ago.
It sits forlornly on a shelf still unused apart from the day it arrived despite my best intentions
Perhaps I will give it a go, hope it still works after all this time, concept sounds like a good idea

they're good for fine tuning sliders where trying to change values by 1 or 2 with a mouse is very difficult. They take a bit of getting used to so you have to be using them a lot to get the muscle memory of where the dials are and what elements each dial changes

As promised above, I downloaded and installed the latest version of the Loupdeck software and, after a factory reset, it appears to work.

EDIT 12/12/25: Further testing of the latest software version - there are still a number of functions that don't work on the Loupedeck+. The LrC plug-in is optimised for the Loupedeck CT which is a very different animal to the Loupedeck+. I'm going to see if I can add some custom controls to make up for the bits that don't work ... fingers crossed.

I have a loupedeck+ but it's been sat in a cupboard for a while. The few times I've used it, it was excellent but most of my editing is done sat on the sofa with a laptop, which is not ideal for using it. If I can ever convince one of the "children" to move out, I'll get a desk and drag it back out again.

I was given one for free a few years ago. They asked me to promote the fact that I'd used it to edit my "race" images when I posted them on line. Not used it for a long time.

Thanks everyone. Have nice seen that there are are loads ok keyboard shortcuts. Does anyone use this method?

Take a look at a Logitech Creative Console before you commit.

Logi bought out Loupedeck a couple of years ago - hence the issue with the version 6 update mentioned above.

Logiteck MX has a loupedeck backend (software) with a more modern interdace.

Is it a Loupedeck CT? NO but it's half the price at 80% of the functionality.

@DemiLion : Actually that looks like a nice piece of kit, thanks for the suggestion. I may be persuaded to give it a try (y)
