Actually, this weather event which is affecting the northern half of England during the course of today had taken me by surprise.
However, there's plenty more of that to come as we go through tomorrow and Wednesday as further heavy showers will affect the north of England and southern Scotland.
Then temperatures begin to rise as we go into Thursday, along with some hot sunshine.
But that'll only have the effect of triggering localised thunderstorms over the South East of the UK this Friday and onwards. Should bring some much-needed rainfall to that part of the world, though!
