I could go check the link posted a couple of replies back, come back and post what I find.. but honestly, is this the quickest way to the answer?
 
Well I followed the link but none of the items I was specifically looking at produced a 30% deduction when added to my basket.

Appreciate your comment though....very constructive!!!!

If you read back, you have to add to the basket and then go to the checkout to see the discount...
 
Yeah it must be working on the lens I was looking at! They had a Nikon 20mm 1.8 on the link for £512 but there was no further discount applied when in checkout.

Seems very varied on what its applied too. I was looking at 2 laptops, one would apply the discount, the other wouldn't. Both were warehouse deals from amazon, so not sure what the logic is.
 
I did try it last night, but wasn't working for me. It may have been specific items, but there's no obvious clue as to which until you try to check out.
 
Didn't get any discount applied to the photo stuff I tried ... so I bought a vacuum cleaner for £35!
 
Thanks for link Phil. I ordered a Nikon EN-EL 15 battery and a Sandisk 32 GB memory card yesterday morning for just over £30 for both including delivery. Items were delivered this morning and are working fine. Damage to packaging was reason for warehouse deal + discount. Well pleased!

Alistair; no invoice included in packaging but downloadable invoice seems to be standard one. Not ordered from Amazon for a while until now though so not totally familiar with latest system of printing off your own paperwork.

.. the word from Fuji UK is that they'll honour the current cash-back promotion on lenses bought through Amazon Warehouse as long as it's an Amazon invoice you can present to them, which makes the XF 35/1.4 at steal at c.£150 net :D
 
Just ordered a Panasonic tz70 for £165. If I can get the £40 cash back as well it will only be £125 which is a good deal.
 
Bunch of scum. So my laptop arrived, only it didn't. It was a budget £200 netbook, when I ordered a powerful £560 desktop replacement machine.

Ive spent 2 hours on their stupid chat trying to sort it out. One person closed the chat halfway through, after not getting the fact I didn't want to keep the crappy £200 laptop.. not even their "very generous" offer of a £70 partial refund.. Yes thats right, they wanted me to pay almost £500 for a £200 laptop!!

We then get around to retuning it, although they expect me to pay for it.. I refuse, we go around in circles for an hour. Im getting no where fast but eventually get them to agree to refund the postage cost once Ive sent it.. We will see.

To top it off, they won't refund me for 5-7 days. Well over Xmas, make that 2 weeks due to all the bank holidays, so Amazon now have £560 of my money, plus I have to pay another £20 or so to post it back, AND I won't get a refund until nearly January...

Thats awful! Normally Amazon are really good, but once I have had an awful experience on their chat. Maybe a previous purchaser did a swop?
 
This is the latest of a very long list of problems I've had with them in the last few months. They used to be awesome at CS, Now they are getting as bad as BT and that's saying something.
Items not arriving on time or at all, wrong items being delivered, broken items, broken promises, lies and now farce.
 
Oh and to top it off, I haven't been given the £5 credit I managed to wrangle from the first chat person before she cut me off.

That's really poor. Was it the wrong laptop in the 'correct' box or just the wrong thing altogether ?

I'm wondering if there's an issue with the open-box returns verification system.. buy a new £500 laptop, return a £200 netbook and get the £500 refunded.

It was in just a plain Amazon warehouse box, no other documentation. Nothing on the box other than a number, which presumably corresponds to something in their system.

Im just hoping that they accept the return and refund the full amount and don't try and say Ive returned a cheaper item, that would be just my luck.

I shall email the ceo, but Im going to wait until the return is confirmed. I posted it today at a cost of £17! If I don't get that back, I shall be ultra furious.

I've never paid to return an item to Amazon, it always gives me multiple choices and you print off the chosen label which is prepaid. From memory the choices were Royal Mail, DPD, Collect+, Amazon Locker and another one I can't remember.

Didn't you get the choices when processing the return request?
 
Amazing, was looking to buy an LX100, figured I may as well get a Warehouse version as they've always been fine for me, £470 magically became £330 in my basket, had no idea!

Nope. I didn't go through the usual self returns process, I was speaking to someone as I wanted to see if they would ship out the correct item straight away but it had gone out of stock by the time I got them on chat. Usually I use collect plus, and I asked about it, but they said it wasn't possible with this item. They offered to send a courier to collect it, but that would have meant spending a whole day in waiting for them.

I'd be shocked if you didn't get it back.

I had to return a TV a couple of weeks ago and I said it would cost £55 via parcel force and they said they'd be happy to refund that. I did however in the end decide to get them to prevent book DPD so that I didn't have to pay upfront.

Oddly they then still refunded me £4.75 for postage even though it hadn't cost me anything to post!

I now have it writing they will refund it, so if they dont trouble will ensue.
It's in thier own t&c that you can post it back using any method you choose and they will refund it if the problem was thier error anyway, I've just lost all trust I ever had in Amazon.
 
Pleased to say I have received the refund for the laptop and the postage. I haven't been given the £5 gift card credit I was promised though. Cant really be arsed to chase it either. If I hadn't have paid £79 for prime, I think I would stop using amazon altogether, but I shall continue to do so until my prime runs out. Only small items though, nothing over £50 or so.
 
My sigma 150-600 sport arrived this morning. It's the correct lens and looks in perfect, new condition. The box had been opened previously but is fully intact just with an Amazon Warehouse deals sticker on it.
Very pleased, with the discount it was £880 inc delivery.
 
LX100 arrived, repackaged in brown box but the actual camera and bits were clearly completely unused and untouched, still with protective stickers etc on them. Very pleased!

Just ordered one for my 7D ... £830 delivered.

Had one when they were first available and wasn't that impressed so returned it but willing to give it another go at this price :)

Cool. An even better bargain than mine! Hope you're happier this time.
I've barely tried mine yet. My heaviest lens until this was a tamron 70-200 2.8 so this one will take a bit of getting used to.
