Lost titles

When I open COMPUTER>PICTURES in windows, all the folders have lost their titles. When I hover the cursor over a folder the title appears until the cursor is removed again. Anybody any bright ideas? Operating system is Vista Home Premium. merv

From the menu select View> Hide file names - should do the trick
