last night, my black lowepro magnum camera bag was left on a train between blackpool and bolton/manchester by a friend, contents were a canon 5D a canon 24-105L lens, a canon 550ex flash, a sekonic meter a sony handycam loads of cf cards and triggers batteries etc, any information would be apprciated, not expecting to see it again but its worth a try

if i can't get it back then my photographic exploits are over as i doubt i can afford to set up again !

Ohh no! Best of luck... hope some decent soul finds it and hands it in somewhere. Would be gutted if that happened me. :(
 
Ouch!!!! Best of luck getting it back. I really hope that somebody honest has picked it up and handed it in.

(BTW if your friend left it on the train, haven't they offered to replace it for you if it really is lost? It's what I would do if I'd lost somebody else's kit :shrug: )

If it is possible to know what time the train was, what location and what TOC then it would be possible to find out what train number it was and perhaps use some CCTV to your advantage. Whether that amount of effort would be used for lost camera kit (knowing this country unlikely) is questionable but worth a try.

thanks everyone +1 to you all, i love this place, i suffer from depression at present and i can honestly say the responses and pms from you guys have given me a real lift :clap: long live TP :D

Events have a habit of averaging out:-

1. Lose your camera
2. Find your camera

3. Lotto numbers come up
4. Lost your ticket:lol:

Good result - I read the opening post with a horrible sinking feeling...wondering where you'd buried the 'friend', whether it counts as justifiable homicide etc...(pretty sure it does...lol)
