Yes
Ok, so my 16Gb CF card has gone missing.
I fear it may have fallen into the bin under my desk which was then emptied into the kitchen bin, bagged up and thrown in the dustbin.

The bin is full and due to be emptied Monday so....do I..
a). cut my losses and buy another or
b). don the marigolds and have a rummage?

Get them plastics on and dive in. You can shower afterwards.

Go find it :)

Open said bin, right click > Restore.

For Christs sake they say us Jocks are tight:shrug::D

If there's no valuable pictures on it then forget it and buy a new one.

:plusone:

If it's full of pix that haven't made it onto other media, dig it out, otherwise be thankful that it was empty and not a full 128GB card of wedding photos for an influential client!

Get it found ya pansy

Urgh, it's a rubbish feeling, isn't it? But I've bin there and done it.

ha ha...

seriously... as mentioned above - depends what's on there and if backed up.. how much a replacement is, and if you can easily afford to absorb the cost....

I.e. If you are minted and it's blank probably not bother... if you are having aldi baked beans on cheap tesco bread for tea and haven't got £10 till the end of the month, I might go searching..

Ha, knew this would get some good responses.

Not had a delve yet but it's bin day tomorrow so need to make a decision. There is definitely nothing important on it, just general stuff that I don't really care about. Trouble is even if I find it it may have been swimming in bin juice and will be no good.

Might just have to dig deep the other way and get another. ;)

I concede defeat! :gag:
The bin won, fair and square.
3 bags down and I'm already gagging and can hear the flies buzzing around so that's the end of that!
Just really glad there was nothing of importance on it. ;)

 :gag: :puke: I've done some nasty cleans in my time but bin soup still has me heaving as does pavement pizza :puke:

Don the marigolds! I once dropped my wedding ring in the bin and didn't realise until the last minute! You'll be surprised with memory cards being submerged, as long as you give them time to dry they will generally be fine, look at the memory cards that get washed up on beaches and still work the next day after a 2 year transatlantic swim :)
