I am certain the 5D is a classic camera, I have read lot's of opinions on it so it does go without saying that it is. Congrats on your purchase, I am sure you'll have many happy finger clicking moments.:thumbs:

However - that photo!!! I wanted to ensure it wasn't just me so I asked the wife for her opinion - did nothing at all for her so she said, and she also asked why the bottom 3rd was black.:thinking:

I appreciate your excitement, and I mean no offense... but if that shot were an ad for a 5D, I wouldn't be buying one and I can't honestly see why anyone would see it as an awesome shot.:shrug:

I see your point... its not meant to be an advert for the 5d...and it certainly wouldnt win any awards; it is meant to show one of my first photo's i took with it really.
Its not a great photo no... i am just getting used to the camera and got excited so posted :shrug:
Havent had chance to really play yet, so there will hopefully be more better shots coming.

Again, just a thread really to show off my new toy :D

i really dislike all of ansel adams work ... and thats obviously not a shared opinion

Really pleased for you on the new toy!
If we're being REALLY picky about the shots, then that table could do with a coat of varnish!
Just get out there and enjoy it. ;-)

I can't believe you lot sometimes. Three comments saying you would not buy a 5D. I could take an utterly crap pic on a Hasselblad H3, believe me I could:lol: (about 30K worth of camera) would that one pic put you off buying one?

It's the old joke about the chef being congratulated on fine food when, in fact, it's all been down to a decent set of pans!

Congrats on the 5D kmlc, I'm sure you are going to have fun with it and when you start to produce some stunning stuff perhaps our three above will be first in the queue to buy one. :clap:
