What has the appeal got to do with Ferrari? Surely they're just the innocent benefactor of Lewis's misdemeanour?

It`s all hogwash from start to finish imo...
He should never have been given the penalty in the first place.
Just typical of F1 these days. More is decided in the court room than on the track.
Take off the "kid gloves" bring back proper slicks, no aids of any kind, reduce all those pathetic wing-lets and no run off areas.
The cars are safe enough to protect the drivers... Kubica`s crash in Canada proved that (thankfully)
Lets get this sport back to when it was exciting to watch and the best drivers in the world could actually overtake...
Just my tuppence worth.

Very convenient that the FIA thew out the appeal on a technicality, that way they don't have to debate the facts of the incident, where imo they don't have a leg to stand on!
I'm also confused about how you can give a "drive thru" penalty, 2 hours after the race has finished, unless you want to make sure your decision can't be appealed, of course!!
