But there are soo many around how do I know which is the best thing to go for. Ideally I would say I wanted dual screens to make it easier to edit without having to switch programs on one, however depends on total costing.

Just looking for some info to whats around and what to get.

Thanks

What's your budget?

Are you prepared to buy the best and get 2x 27'' Eizo Color Edge or are you looking to spend £500 for two monitors?

Ideally I'd look for an IPS panel and for monitors over 24'' with wide gamut colours although some prefer just sRGB. More expensive monitors have better panel uniformity and colours. They are worth buying, especially if you're working professionally.

Dell and HP do some relatively inexpensive IPS panels that are ok.

Oh I forgot to say budget!! Opppsss

I'd say around £400-500 for two if that's possible.

I was just hoping for some ideas before I made my mind up for costing really

If you could stretch to £600 you could probably get two fairly decent IPS screens for that. I'm pushed for time today but have a look at the Dell Ultrasharp range- usually have some good 23/24 inch monitors. They used to do a 22inch IPS screen which you could get for about £200 but not sure if they still do it although for me 22inch is too small but it's personal preference.

I'd second the Dell 24" Ultrasharps. I think they have introduced a lower cost version of my U2410 (U2412) which supposedly has a lower quality panel. I haven't seen them side by side to know though.

If you can afford it, a good IPS makes all the difference imho. I've heard great things about the Hazro HZ27, and having a huge resolution makes up for not being able to afford dual displays.
