Hello my name is Stephen, next year I will be 65 years of age and I am going to retire. My profession for the last 30 years as been full time pro photographer, photographing weddings, portraits, commercial, and corporate. I have had a good time and earned a good living out of my profession but now I want to learn how to photograph wild life, this may sound strange to some of you out there you may think if he has been a pro photographer all these years he should not need to learn he should go out and do it; It's been said; Photography is a wonderful profession all so a wonderful hobby but don't let anyone tell you they know everything. photographing a wedding or a portrait is totally different from photographing wildlife so if any one out there with any tips or can give any advice please get in touch. All advice will be welcome, I hope you one and all enjoy this wonderful thing called photography.

Hi and welcome to the mad world of Talk photography , there will be lots of people on here who can help and i am sure with your back ground there is allot of info and help you can give too.. have a look around the forums so much info for you there.

I would suggest you get some time with Andy Rouse, one of the countries top wildlife photographers.

Andy does workshops (theory and theory & practical) on Fieldcraft which I suspect will be of excellent use to you - and the combination of this with your experience, and understanding of light and composition should put you in good stead.
