Looking for wide angle at f2.8 at least!

Yup

That's my plan too.

I'm confused with the Jessops price as on their website the IS version is £529... who did they price match with??

The IS version will benefit me more as I work in low light.

I'll let you guys know about the Clifton cameras price as soon as they get back to me... and also 5 year warranty is pretty good :)

Really what store?

one of my local ones there are four within a 20 mile radius
basildon southend lakeside and chelmsford

Hey.... went along to Jessops today hoping to get the same deal... but they only price match locally!

So going for a Tamron from Clifton cameras as they emailed me back today saying they have uk stock in at the moment and a 5 year warranty at a cool price of £415

so thanks for all the advice.. guess you've all convinced me to go cheap! haha

tamron lens is brilliant, got it from play.com of all places from CameraKing came next day.

Been using the lens for the last week pretty much non stop while on Holiday taken some brilliant pics with the lens in low light at 2.8 and it has made my holiday with the quality of the pics!
