I'm looking to upgrade my Sony a450 to the Sony a580.

Mainly for the tilting LCD screen, HD video, AF liveview, amongst other features.

Is there anyone on here who has bought one recently?

The cheapest I can find is £479.99 from Devon Cameras.

FWIW, you can get a half decent generic VG for it from Amazon (UK) for around £60.00 which looks similar to the genuine branded version. Options available, so prices vary (with/without batteries etc).

Anyone found the A580 cheaper elsewhere? I'm looking to either go for this or the FF A850, but I hadn't realised just how ancient my A700 is, though the blasted LV etc on the 580 is a waste of space, but I've just done a 580 v 700 comparison test and the A700 got slaughtered (and I love my A700) don't get me wrong, but maybe time to move on.
