Hi all,

Many moons ago there was an article in a photography mag regarding a photo that was taken of a small number of soldiers.

They were in a helicopter, B&W and one or two had been killed and another was crying. It was just before the end of the war (gulf/vietnam maybe) and it might even have been the day before the war ended.

Anyone know the photo in question?

Here was a great photographer,worked in Vietnam for about 10 years,Yankee papa shots were taken in 1965,he was killed in Vietnam towards the end the war in an helicopter accident :)
 
I have a vague recollection that there are similar shots taken in one of the Gulf wars.
 
Very similar to that shot but it's not the one. I think it might have been the gulf war as it was more up to date and had more men in it, maybe 4 or 5.

Think i'll have to dig through all my old mags and see if I can find it.

Just out of interest, Which one was it that you were after? The b & w or the colour image?
