Looking for Advice on Monitor

Looks like a very good monitor for photography work.

My one question that only other 4k monitor users can comment on is whether 4k on a 27" screen is it a tad too small or is 32" the smallest to aim for???

Thanks for the feed back 32 inch would be good but might be a bit big for me

27 inch is fine. I wouldn't say not to 32inch but honestly 27 is plenty.

Actually love it.

In all honesty, you need 100% SRGB, 99% aRGB, IPS. Don't settle for anything less.

ASUS PROART PA278QV is the one I got last year it seems very accurate out of the box and not expensive
It's nicer than the U2412M I still use on older PC but that was a good one too.

Eizo are the best, but most expensive screens you can buy, if you can, or choose to afford it, you won't be disappointed.

That one is 4k - mine isn't.

For me, the line width of QHD resolution is still fine on a 27inch screen - and I do not edit video. However, if you require 4k as well, you should buy the one you linked into.

is the dell u2720q any good for photo editing pics and video

excellent for both . Actually I am blown away with how good it is. . it is not only the monitor to consider but how good the camera/camcorder lens is as well. Link it up with something like my Sony FDR-AX53 (£699) and you wont go far wrong. I use adobe elements2020 and premier elements 2020 for stills and video editing. If doing videos you may well want to edit clips together and cut out bits you don't want. Also you can do a rolling scroll heading within the video or even a voice over. doing a video sound also needs to be considered and that is a whole new subject.

If I may I would suggest have a camcorder for videos and a DSLR or similar for stills. Each is designed for that specific purpose although either can do both I don't advise it. working on/with video is so different from stills photography I am still in the learning stage after 9 /10 years. Things like clip length- walking while videoing- capturing sound- editing to name but a few things to think of

Yes looks good I’m only doing pics and video for family now just get confused with all the technical stuff just retired and looking for a hobby to pass the time in the winter thanks for the reply

Ah! I was under the impression that text could/would appear small on a 27" 4k but that bit better on a 32" screen

It's quite a bit smaller than on a 24" 1920*1200 screen at the kind of distance required for comfy working.
