Trying to trace one of our members who from memory posted in the people and portriats section. His pictures were mostly of himself and done in a style which again had a name but I cannot remember that either. They were usally quite funny, drinking, cooking on the BBQ and mowing the grass were but a few of his. I believe he might have been Australian. If you can remember who he is could you give us a link please? I know one of you will come up trumps :D

Round two, starter for ten no conferring. Does he still frequent the forum, again cannot remember what his handle was, or is there anybody else on here producing that style?

Well if you had clicked the linky in my post, that would have taken you to his profile,
and discovered that he was around these parts in Jan this year.
And his user name really is Mick.

IIRC Tyke Tiler also used that technique,
but has not been around for quite some time.

Well if it has not been mentioned already, perhaps Admin needs to look at changing highlighted links so they actualy stand out a bit better a nice dayglo Green always works on other forums :p If I had noticed it I would have clicked it :D I thank you for your kind words.

I'm at a loss... Can someone explain to me how he achieves that kind of processing? Is it HDR?

It has been suggested its Lucis Art [a photoshop plugin] but pretty sure Mick has taken it to a while new level, so his technique possibly started there [I dont know] but he has said many times that he does quite a lot of his own methods that get them there without actually revealing what that is. Whatever he does, it looks fantastic when mated with his hugely fun photographic take on 'selfies'
