Looking for a prime for olympus E-M5

So I do a lot of street photography, candid with a D7000 and a 50mm lens and I now have a Olympus e-m5 as my second body, anyone know a suitable prime of roughly equivalent focal length

Probably 200 euro budget

If you can stretch to it then the Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4, Stunner of a lens.

Would the Olympus 2.8 standard pancake lens work (25mm)

You would need an adaptor,also have a look at the Panasonic 20mm F1.8

1. Sigma 19 or 30mm f2.8. These are within budget and are getting rave reviews.
2. A legacy lens and adapter. 28mm f2.8? 50mm f1.4/1.8?
3. Hope to find a bargain AF MFT lens here or on an auction site.

If your "street" photography is likely to include the traditional method of presetting the camera maybe a manual legacy lens, something in the relatively wide to standard range may be a good option?

For £200 the best bet is probably a used 20mm excellent lens if you can't stretch to the 25mm

Is it possible to buy an adaptor that will allow me to use my Nikon 50mm 1.4d lens

If it has an aperture ring, I suppose so. If it doesn't have an aperture ring it's not really a prospect.

If you are happy to use a 50mm lens on MFT where it'll give you an equiv. F.o.V. of 100mm then you could look at manual Nikon lenses, Canon FD, manual Pentax, Minolta, Olympus etc...

I recently bought a Minolta 55mm f1.7 that I'm very happy with and it came with adapter for £19.

PS. I haven't used a Nikon for years so I'm not really sure...

I just Google'd the 50mm f1.4D and from what I can see it has an aperture ring. If it does you can probably get an adapter for something like £20-40 depending upon make/supplier.

This would give an equiv. FoV of 100mm and would be manual focus only.

Maybe someone who knows this lens can confirm/correct?

i would go for the 19mm sigma dn too. Very Very sharp, not the fasted but fast enough for street.
