I'm in the market for a hot shoe spirit level, are there any 'good' bubbles or are they all much the same

Also as it's mainly for Lanscapes should I get a wide angle bubble or would one with IS be a better buy

;)

I hear the RRS bubble is dual mode and is hand built by elves in greenland.
I should hope so the money they charge for it. Personally I use a tripod so I've not thought about IS in a bubble. Wonder if it really could combat fluid jitter.

Where do you buy RRS stuff in UK???

Are bubbles not 100% accurate all the time?

That's what I was trying to find out, are RRS bubbles worth $33 or are ebay bubbles for £5 just as accurate.

It would be a bit off a ****** if all my shots turned out exactly 3.5 degrees squint

How is it better?

Can bubbles break? Do they need batteries? Can they malfunction? Are bubbles not 100% accurate all the time?

I still carry the other as backup, the digital one has a more "positive" indication of dead centre and can also easily be seen whilst looking through the viewfinder if not using a tripod...personally I find it makes life slightly easier but if you think it won't make any difference save your money

It's not exactly life or death either way

Straighten it up in photoshop and save yourself $5! :)

Well I've just ordered a three bubble level from HK for £3.70 inc postage, worst case it will give me an excuse for crooked shots :)

THREE Bubble?
Bit of an upgrade on the double bubble. That for the wideangle?

Thought I'd go for three bubble & stitch them together for Panoramic shots. It gives the effect of an ultra-wide bubble for pixel perfect horizons.
